Quilt Alongs

I don't do quilt alongs, I say I am, I promise I will, I even swear an oath with another blogger (hi Leslie) that we will push each other and then....nothing, nope, nada, they fall to the bottom of the to-do list.

But, this morning two quilt alongs have caught my attention. Sarah at Confessions of a Fabric Addict has started the Sweet 16 Quilt Along, totally doable and a great scrap buster, plus it's all there, no waiting for a month to find out the next step.

Go here, that colorful one has my name all over it.
Then go here, giant stars! What more could you ask for?

How about elephants!!??

Sew Fresh Quilts

I can't resist elephants

This one hasn't been made but he's been calling, trumpeting? to me so he's getting made. Plus I have another one in the planning stage which when I told David my idea he looked at me oddly and didn't say a word, so I know I'm on the right path.

  1. You know you want to play!!! I knew you would love that elephant QAL - I may just make the big and little Ls for a wallhanging. And that new big 16-patch star Sarah shared - LOVE!!

  2. I'd love to make both of Sarah's quilts, but, they will have to wait. To many other things I'm working on. I still want to make your strings elephant. I have a picture of it hanging near my sewing machines. The log cabin elephant looks cool, too.

  3. Those look like fun! That elephant one tempted me too, but I'm really already booked with QAL's. I might go ahead and print out or save the patterns somehow.

  5. Yeah - that Elephant Parade has really been calling to me, but right now I think I need to not complicate my plate further. It's going to be a lot of fun watching people work on it!
