New FO's for June

It's the end of another month and time for the New FO link up party over at Cat Patches

I think of June as my EQ7 month, although I promised myself I would do all of the lessons and really learn the program, that didn't last long. My friend Darlene suggested that I just draw some quilts that I already knew. Great suggestion! I drew them and actually followed my own instructions (to the best of my ADD ability).

First a really simple fast one, the EQ version:

I have to admit EQ and I had a few arguments and I did threaten it a few times with my graph paper, but I'm sure we'll be friends (if it would just do what I want it to), maybe more lessons :)

That's it for June, hop on over to Cat Patches and join in, remember it's all about starts, no finishes required.

Later gators,
Dana

  1. I haven't been tempted by EQ, (yet). I like the way your lessons went. Great job.

  2. Good for you in sticking with it and what lovely pieces you ended up with. Really like the shattered stars one, see so many possibilities with use of color and frabric.

  4. I love working things up in EQ. Once you learn it, it's not bad, but the first few tries will drive you nuts.

  5. Love them all! You did better than me with the classes....I never finished the first one. They were not what I wanted or expected. I love EQ for doing my layouts and checking color ways. But forget all the tiny pieces.... :D

  6. Gorgeous! You are too clever. I love all the colors in that first quilt. I have vowed to learn EQ I don't know how many times. The bottom line is that I don't want to spend that much time at the computer.

  7. Great quilts. I'd love EQ but, with so many UFO's I just can't justify the expense just so that I can create more UFO's.
